With A Level results released last week and GCSE’s this week, many students are finding themselves in a position where they need to look for a job vacancy. It may be that they need a temporary job until they start uni, college or sixth form or even a 1 year placement to cover the time they are taking away from studying (also known as a gap year).
With so many people looking for jobs and job rates still recovering following the recession, many employers are finding themselves swamped with CV’s. This makes it all the more important to ensure that your CV and cover letter are completed to a high standard, including all relevant information as well and double checking for typos or spelling mistakes.
There are a number of places to search for a job vacancy such as The Job Centre, online jobs boards, social media websites, local newspapers and recruitment agencies. To stand the best chance of getting a job quickly, you may want to explore all of these avenues to allow you to apply for as many vacancies as possible.
