An entrepreneur is someone that sets up a business or multiple businesses often taking financial risks in order to make a profit. Many students are now looking down this route to further their career rather than going down the employment route.

With students often having the option to take business studies at school or university, it gives them the chance to learn about running their own business and what makes a good business plan. This has tempted many of them to start thinking about a product of service they could bring to market in order to create themselves a business.

Now we are seeing entrepreneurs younger than we ever have and with the likes of programs such as Dragons Den, it is becoming easier for them to share their ideas and obtain funding. Being an entrepreneur is not for the faint-hearted and you will often need to invest a lot of time and even money at the start to get the business off the ground.
