Looking Beyond the Basics – How to Find a New Job

We all know how to find a new job – upload your CV online, look through job boards, wait for recruiters to headhunt you… If you are looking for some more specific advice, here is what our experts have to say on the matter:

  • Find a job that will suit your values. Think about your current role. Does it meet your needs? Do you feel like what you are doing is worthwhile? If the answer is no, find a job more closely aligned with your personal values.
  • Think outside the box. You don’t have to go into the same kind of role if it just isn’t making you happy. You could do something similar, but branch out a little if you want to use existing skills.
  • Retrain. If your career really isn’t making you happy, be honest about it. The first step is accepting this. Once you have, begin thinking about your options.
